Watch On ("we", "our", "us") is a premium video streaming service. Our platform is accessible via our Android application and website at www.watchon.store/watchon.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use Watch On:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and encrypted password when you register.
- Google Sign-In data: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
- Device information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and a device identifier used to manage active sessions.
- Usage data: Content you watch, search queries, watchlist items, ratings, and watch progress to personalise your experience.
- Payment data: Subscription plan and transaction identifiers. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by our payment provider.
- Technical data: IP address, session tokens, and timestamps used for security and fraud prevention.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and subscription.
- To stream content and personalise recommendations based on your watch history.
- To process payments and manage billing.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).
- To improve our service through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with:
- Payment processors: To securely process subscription payments.
- Google (OAuth): When you choose to sign in with Google, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloud infrastructure: Our servers are hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services) in India.
- Legal authorities: If required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
Watch history and usage data may be retained in anonymised, aggregated form for analytics purposes.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data via your Profile settings.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.

7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
- Bcrypt hashing for passwords (never stored in plain text).
- Session token management with automatic expiry.
- Device management — you can review and revoke active sessions from Settings.
No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at support@watchon.store.
8. Children's Privacy
Watch On is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Cookies & Local Storage
Our Android app uses local device storage (DataStore) to securely store your authentication token and preferences. This data never leaves your device except as part of API calls to our servers. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
10. Third-Party Links
Our app may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Watch On after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
